En stort fördel med Freiburg är läget i Schwarzwaldskogen och närheten till många andra städer. Tidigare har jag mest befunnit mig i nordvästra Tyskland och städerna däromkring. Södra Tyskland, Frankrike och Schweiz är för mig helt outforskade, med undantaget Paris. Därför är resor till olika orter något som jag verkligen sett fram emot och vill ta vara på här. Inser i skrivande stund att jag knappt har några inplanerade och börjar undra när jag ska hinna med då det nu bara är två(!) månader kvar här. Planera planera.
Hursomhelst, det som inlägget skulle handla om var vår dag i Straßbourg! Jag och de flesta andra i min klass åkte dit för några veckor sedan. Innan besöket hade jag hypeat upp Straßbourg något riktigt ordentligt. Jag hade googlat och funnit helt fantastiska bilder på vad som verkade vara en väldigt mysig och vacker fransk stad. Vad som var mest fantastiskt dock, var att Straßbourg levde upp till förväntningarna! Var och vartannat hus kantades av färgsprakande blomsterlådor och franska fönsterluckor. De var även vackert byggda och långt ifrån de gråa lådorna man kan hitta i Freiburg.
På en av bilderna ser ni Café Stein. Under en förmiddagstimma försöker vi, efter en dålig utgiven vägbeskrivning, att hitta detta café då de tydligen ska ha den bästa Eclair-bakelsen. När vi till slut får syn på det, utbrister jag “men det här caféet har ju jag kort på”. Så var det alltså ett av de första vi gått förbi påväg TILL turistinformationen och jag hade stannat och fotat för att jag tyckte det var så vackert. Gissa om vi skrattade.
